WCS was responsible for the composite structural design of the largest composite project ever submitted to DnV for classification – the gargantuan composite superstructure of the 141m long SWIFT 141 Gigayacht by Abu Dhabi Mar.  Working across an 18 month period WCS completed the project the project incorporated many innovative features including advanced structural concepts to offer full realization of the interior designer’s vision for open unobstructed spaces and an all composite helideck.

Additionally, having been on-site during much of the construction of the advanced motoryacht ADLER, WCS recognizes and understands the need to not only integrate the composite structure with the mechanical and electrical services etc, but how the overall structural concept can massively reduce integration time and cost.  This fundamentally pragmatic approach to the design of today’s composite superyacht allows WCS to leverage the advantages of composites to deliver the ultimate goal – true integration and maximization of the benefits of composite construction.
